Prevacid
Prevacid (generic name: Lansoprazole ) is used for severe gastric reflux disease (erosive esophagitis) treatment . It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your doctor. Also Prevacid (ansoprazole) is used to reduce the risk of stomach ulcers
Prevacid effectively reduces the acidity in the stomach. Prevacid is a proton pump inhibitor. Lansoprazole decreases the amount of acid produced in the stomach.

How to use Prevacid:
Use Prevacid IV as directed by your doctor. Check the label on the medicine for exact dosing instructions.
The Prevacid capsule should be taken in the morning with a full glass of water before breakfast.
* Do not crush, chew, or break the lansoprazole (Prevacid) capsules. Swallow them whole. They are specially formulated to release the medication slowly in the body.
*Store Prevacid at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
* If you miss a dose of Prevacid IV , use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
Avoid while taking Prevacid :
*driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities.
*drink 3 or more alcoholic beverages a day
